Roblox: Chained Together (2-5 Players) Review
Chained Together is a paid game on Steam where up to 4 players can play the game and try to reach Heaven by going through different obstacles on the map. Now, here’s where Roblox really stood out; the Roblox creators are just plain talented. They have developed games that are really similar to popular games like R.E.P.O., and even before that Roblox game was developed, Chained Together was there first.
I played this game with two of my friends initially, over satellite internet, and it was surprisingly good, given that we were also able to play the original Chained Together. That said, I have some thoughts to share regarding this game and why I think it deserves more recognition.
I don’t know if there copyright is a problem when it comes to these games on Roblox, but this game was literally a carbon copy of Chained Together. There were some details that weren’t really similar, but the overall feel of the game was there.
Game Objective
For the game objective, it’s pretty easy. You go to a specific platform based on the number of players you’ll have (2-5). Then, when the specific number of players is reached, you will be automatically chained together and be teleported to the center part of the lobby. From there, you’ll be able to start climbing your way up to Heaven from Hell, of course.
It took us more hours than we anticipated because we couldn’t play continuously, and we have a teammate who keeps disconnecting. Plus, we’ve encountered several bugs throughout the game, which made it a bit hard for us. However, there were also bugs that allowed us to pass through some levels much more easily.
Playing with More Players
The thing about Chained Together is, the saying “the more, the merrier” is really applicable, but in a different sense. It’s not like TV streaming where you just sit and chill. With this game, it will be more challenging because you’re chained to more people. That means if one or two of you fall, your entire team can be dragged to the pits of hell once again.
I’ve tried playing the game with one friend, then two friends, then tried again with three friends. I must say that the game is easiest when it’s just two players because there’s less room for error. The one where we’re four in the game, it was seriously chaotic. I couldn’t even count the times we fell before we actually reached the checkpoint. But I must say, it’s fun to play the game with more players. I’m looking forward to playing it with five players, but I’m still looking for another person to play with.
Reaching Heaven
To be honest, the latter part of the map, where you’ll reach heaven, felt kind of rushed. Like the developer just wanted to get it over with. That’s what my friends and I felt when we finished the game. It’s not that the game isn’t worth playing, but we do think that the path near heaven could’ve been made better to not make it look rushed. It was also extremely easy when you reach that certain point where you’re just a few obstacles from finishing the game.
The Bottom Line
Chained Together in Roblox is a great game to play with friends, especially if you’re all competitive and love obby games. There is still some room for improvement, but overall, it’s already a good game to grind with your friends. Just expect a lot of falling, trash talking, and a whole lot of laughter. Happy playing!
